Some studies have already shown that cats actually sleep more than humans. Felines take naps for more or less 12 to 16 hours every day and this behavior is noticed mainly when we live with a cat.
Many tutors may be concerned to see their pet sleeping so much on a daily basis, but the reality is that this is a normal feature of all felines, even lions.
The most interesting thing is that although cats sleep a lot, their sleep rhythm is totally different from ours, as cats are not able to enter heavy sleep, known as REM sleep. This reason is what makes cats rest so much, as the quality of sleep is lower than that of humans.
However, you might even think that your cat is lazy or just staring at the cat at the wrong time! Because felines have a nocturnal habit, so most likely you've already witnessed the cat playing alone during the night.
Sometimes your pet really needs help. Thus, you need to be aware of the signs that the pet shows. Such as lack of appetite, lack of hygiene, distance from tutors, effort to eliminate, signs of pain and lack of interest in playing.
However, this last point can be rethought, since many times the cat does not want to play because of toys and games that do not please the animal, which by the way is very demanding. The best toys are the interactive ones that run and make noise!
Finally, always observe your kitten to identify signs of any illness and run to the vet to assess the pet's health!
