The history of alligators

Currently, Brazil is home to six of the 23 known species of the crocodyliform group - which includes, in addition to the alligators, alligators (American and Chinese), crocodiles (American, African and Asian) and the interesting gharial Indian. All of them are medium to large predators that spend part of the day in the water and another part out of it.
