A new fine-tooth comb is being programmed to reduce fraud when it comes to benefiting an individual with early retirement. With that, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security decided to expand the body of collaborating physicians in an attempt to minimize this problematic issue.
According to the updates of the Official Journal of the Union, the experts will be able to carry out up to 15 more investigations per day, in addition to 30 extraordinary ones in the mutirão within the Disability Benefit Review Program.
During the process, physicians are authorized to review all sickness benefits that have been active without expertise for more than 6 months and that have no scheduled termination date or indication for rehabilitation. In addition to these, the Continuing Provision Benefits (BPC/Loas) that have not been evaluated for more than two years will also be reviewed.
Regarding schedules, revisions cannot be made during the regular service of agencies social security, so that there is no interference and/or damage in the assistance of the insured with expertise previously checked.
The call will give priority to beneficiaries of lower age groups, that is, younger people, and who have been receiving payments for a longer time. Thus, they will be reviewed and receive a notification from the INSS to attend an agency. The service may occur on business days or not. From this, the security of public coffers will be promoted, avoiding improper payments.
