Why are the Aral, Caspian and the Black considered seas and not lakes?

The Aral, Caspian and Negro are the largest inland saltwater tracts on the planet. They cannot be considered lakes because their waters have high salinity. The Black Sea is connected to the Mediterranean Sea by the Bosphorus Strait. A few years ago it was proven that around 5000 BC. C., he was a closed sea.
