Do not think that salads and other foods are free from the action of microorganisms. Vegetables, for example, only grew because, in the soil, several micro-organisms provided nutrients, as a result of the decomposition of other organisms (plants and animals). On the other hand, meat, even well cooked, ____________ micro-organisms. But, when chewed, there are, in the saliva, substances that help to control bacteria that still resisted. Even inside our body, the food, after passing through the stomach, undergoes the action of bacteria present in the intestine, which help to dissolve food, releasing only nutrients. In other words: we are surrounded! But not all microorganisms harm us. What a relief!
