The computer often crashes (fails to respond to commands) when it tries to perform an operation and cannot complete. The machine may be looping (indefinite repetition), trying to finish the operation or doing a task that prevents or impairs the proper functioning of some program. This is hardly ever because of hardware issues; most of the time, the problem is with the program being used.
“Dar dick” is usually the slang used in computing to indicate that something has gone wrong with the computer or the program.
