The story of Madeleine McCann is known to the general public: An English girl who disappeared in her sleep in the hotel room where she was on vacation, in Portugal, in the Algarve region, on May 12, 2003.
Years earlier, on August 10, 1996, Angela Celentano disappeared without a trace during a picnic with a religious community of which the girl's family was part, in Naples.
At the time, every effort was made to find the girl. However, after almost 27 years, there was still no news about the case. Until now.
According to the testimony of Vincenza Tretinella, responsible for reopening the case, Angela Celentano, today with 30 years old, is living with a boy who she believes is her father, in Buyukada, near the Istanbul region, in Türkiye.
Vincenza's testimony is a new chapter in this very painful story for Angela's parents, who still hope to find their daughter alive.
Father told Vincenza a secret
Tretinella claims that information about Angela's whereabouts was given to her by a priest. On the occasion, the priest would have heard the secret in confession.
To find out the story, Vincenza went to Turkey and, after seeing Angela and the alleged kidnapper, he decided to reveal the information to the Italian police.
At the time of Angela's disappearance, search teams were mobilized throughout the region to find the girl, with the help of helicopters and sniffer dogs.
After almost 30 years, and with the hope of finding their daughter, the parents still do everything, including relying on the help of artificial intelligence, to project how her daughter would be today at 30 years old.
