Did you know that the AirPods have the ability to perform as well as hearing aids for people with hearing impairments? The discovery happened shortly after a comparison research – with a series of tests – between headphones manufactured by apple and traditional appliances. Come and reflect a little on this news and the benefits for people with mild and moderate hearing loss who cannot afford to spend so much.

A discovery like this is a true milestone in the lives of thousands of people who need to use hearing aids, but do not have access to them because of the cost, which is far from affordable. According to an otorhinolaryngologist who participated in this study, headphones are not perfect as developed, but they are a great alternative for those who cannot afford a hearing aid professional.
Around 21 participants with mild and moderate hearing loss were exposed to a wave of tests with premium hearing aids, basic hearing aids, AirPods Pro and AirPods 2. It is worth noting that the headphones are connected to iPhones and connected to an environmental noise amplifier application.
The researchers read some sentences to the volunteers and they had to repeat them. In noisy environments, depending on the direction of the noise, AirPods Pro could be compared to premium hearing aids. In quiet environments, the headphones serve as premium hearing aids as well as basic ones. On the other hand, AirPods 2 did not improve hearing in any significant way when compared to hearing aids.
What justifies this similarity in quality?
What makes the Pro headset work like a professional device is its technology Live Listen, as it is capable of amplifying sounds. There is also talk of its ability to cancel active noise, detecting and blocking some external sounds.
