Bella and her friends from the Faerie Refuge were on a mission to the mainland to settle the summer. But as the artisan had already finished her part of the work, she took the opportunity to observe the humans a little… Hidden, of course!
- You are crazy! – Vivi warned, hidden or not, it's very dangerous!
But Bella didn't listen to her. She was very interested in the two humans who lived in the old house next to the entrance. They were Dr. Gil, a scientist specializing in insects, and his daughter, Liza. They had just arrived from their trip and had taken their luggage out of the trunk of the car.
– How I would love to manufacture something like this! Bella sighed, diving into the car's engine to examine the mechanism closely.
Suddenly, Liza noticed a butterfly flying across the garden. Its wings glistened in the sun: it was magnificent! The astonished girl made the butterfly land on her finger and noticed that hers were completely different from each other! Liza showed this fascinating specimen to her father exclaiming:
– It's weird, but it's beautiful. The fairies must have painted their wings for summer!
– There are no fairies, Liza! - The father protested.
Disguised under the car Bella trembled with rage.
– I'll teach them how many sticks a canoe can be made for, for a fairy that doesn't exist!
And she launched herself at the doctor. Quickly, Vivi caught her.
– No, stay here! If he sees you, he'll capture you!
'But Liza is right,' murmured Bella, 'it was Mary who painted one of the butterfly's wings different from the other. She jumped when she heard a car pass and missed her brushstroke.
- And? - Vivi sighed. – The man doesn't need to know. Look, he's already put the butterfly in a glass, to study it!
Bella was transfixed.
– I prefer to live in secret, but free! There are so many adventures still awaiting me, it would be a shame to miss it.
And, under Vivi's catastrophic gaze, the incorrigible fairy went like an arrow to explore the human garden!
