But the question that remains is: is it possible to receive the Aid and the BPC at the same time?
Aid Brazil benefits around 18 million Brazilians in extreme poverty. It was created as a replacement for the former Bolsa Família and beneficiaries receive an amount of R$400.00 per month.
Some people who are benefiting from this aid claim that it has helped a lot with the family's monthly income, however, it is still not enough.
The families that receive the aid are those that have a per capita income of R$ 100 to R$ 200.00 per month. Thus, to receive it, it is enough to prove the income and enroll in the cadunico in the neighborhood city hall.
While the aid is paid by Caixa Econômica Federal, the BPC is paid by the INSS. It is guaranteed in the Organic Law of Social Assistance (LOAS), and is aimed at people with disabilities and the elderly over 65 years of age.
According to the Ministry of Citizenship, nothing prevents the family from accumulating the two benefits, however, proof of social vulnerability must be provided.
As already mentioned, to receive the aid, it is necessary to prove the income per person, family composition and have the name registered in the Cadúnico. This is the only way to gain access to the Federal Government program.
There is no impediment, however, it is important to remember that the BCP is the payment of a monthly minimum wage. That is, it tends to increase the per capita income of each family, in case one of the members is benefited and hinders the accumulation of benefits.
