NAME:
The slavery relationship is established when a person becomes the property of another, losing the right to freedom and being forced to work for their owner without receiving any payment for the work accomplished. In the societies in which it established itself, the enslaved could be sold, bought, given away, rented or even mistreated by their owner, without this being a crime.
The enslavement of human beings did not begin in the 15th century. This practice has existed since ancient times in societies such as Rome, China and Greece, among others. Some people enslaved others because they considered them different, enemies or inferiors. Slavery in Antiquity could happen for several reasons, such as: wars (prisoners), debts, crimes, lack of resources to survive, etc.
