MEC offers free online courses on the Learn More platform

The Ministry of Education (MEC) is promoting an initiative called Learn More, through which it offers free online courses. Upon completing the courses, participants receive training certificates.

Interested parties will be able to choose from a wide variety of course options, comprising 12 different areas.

According to the ministry, one of the main objectives of the project is to train more than 820,000 students in the area of ​​professional and technological education by 2025.

Currently, the platform offers more than 90 courses in the virtual environment, aimed at developing knowledge and promoting competitiveness in the job market.

Free online courses offered by MEC

The courses encompass several areas and are divided into the following categories: Environment and Health, Exact Sciences, Human Sciences, Educational and Social Development, Management and Business, Languages, Languages ​​and Literature, Information and Communication, Food Production, Cultural Production and Design, Natural Resources, Security, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure.

Among the options available, the following stand out:

• Emerging and Reemerging Diseases in Collective Health;
• Epidemiology;
• Waste management;
• Health People Management;
• Health Indicators;
• Public Health Planning;

• School Employees: citizens, educators, professionals and managers;

It is also possible to participate in a training program aimed at authors of courses for the Learn More platform.

This modality is aimed at teachers and professionals working in the administrative sector of the educational area who wish to develop their own courses in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

To enroll in MEC courses through the Learn More platform, follow the steps below:

1. First, go to the website of Learn More. On the homepage, you can select one of the course categories to find the training you want. Use filters such as course name or class number to facilitate the search;
2. After selecting the option of interest, carefully read the available detailed information. In the file for each course, you will have access to a summary of the content, workload, deadline for completion of studies and minimum period to obtain the certificate. In addition, the page will inform the requirements, number of modules, methodology used, training level and language used;
3. After reading the information, click on the title of the desired training to be redirected to a new page. If you already have an account on the platform, please login. Otherwise, click on “Create an account” under the “This is your first time here” tab to submit your information;
4. The platform will request personal data to register, such as age, country of residence, full name, email address and date of birth. At the end of this process, it will be necessary to confirm the registration through an email sent to you so that you can start studying.

All users must have a login name and password to access the platform.

It is recommended to use only lowercase letters and create a combination between first and last name, or use the Individual Taxpayer Registration number (CPF) for easy access.

Finally, to access the courses, already within Learn More, just click on “My Courses – Access” located in the upper right corner of the page.
