HOW TO MAKE GRASS FOR MODEL

How to make mockup grass, it is important to make your mockup look as complete and as real as possible.

The first tip is to use the common dishwashing bush. For this tree, just remove the yellow part, cut into pieces by hand and paint them in the desired shade (acrylic, PVA or handcraft paint). Then make the tree trunk with wire in the shape and scale you want. Then just stick the dyed sponge pieces into the wire!

HOW TO MAKE GRASS FOR MODEL

paper grass

  • Cut several sheets of cardboard into long strips, all just a few millimeters wide. To cut it precisely, place it on a cutting board and mark the strips using a pencil and a ruler. Cut the cardboard into strips to the size you want your grass using scissors. An alternative, if you want thicker strips, is to use a paper shredder.
  • Gather the strips and mash them so that they have the wrinkled appearance of grass.
  • Paint the base where your grass will be green or brown, and apply the crushed cardstock using glue.

moss grass

  • Collect moss from stones and trees. Wash the moss under hot running water to get rid of any insects that might be present. Place the moss on a smooth surface and dry it using a paper towel or a piece of soft cloth.
  • Shape the moss any way you like. Spread it out or put it in portions to give it a fuller appearance. Put the moss on a tray and leave it out in the sun for a few days to let it dry completely.

  • Apply clear varnish to the moss to preserve it and place it wherever you like. If the moss is not your preferred shade of green, paint it using green spray paint or water-based paint.
