What to expect from a house for sale in England? That it be well located, with comfortable rooms, a work area in the house, and, who knows, a swimming pool, with a wide view of nature. Despite all these qualities, there are houses that have the potential to be even better than we imagine, whether in terms of monetary or historical value.
Last Tuesday, the 21st, a British woman celebrated her 104th birthday. Until the age of 102, Nancy Gifford lived in a three-bedroom house in England, in Somerset, and witnessed significant historical events, including the Second World War.

The woman is asking £169,950, equivalent to R$1.08 million. Compared to what Nancy's parents paid, the amount is 850 times higher. At the time the family bought the house it cost £200. Years passed, of course, but the house remained much the same.
Nancy has lived in the house for over a century and was just two years old when she moved into the home that is now for sale. In 1930, she met Bert, her future husband, and they were married in 1939, during the Second World War.
Only a few modifications have been made to improve the condition of the house over time, but much of it remains as old as when the family moved in over 100 years ago. Part of the house was covered, a new kitchen was installed and the facade was painted in the early 2000s.
Nancy lived in the house until she turned 102, when she was forced to move into a nursing home for her health. Now the historic home is a treasure for England and the family, and is for sale by Holland and Odam real estate.
