It's the famous roundworm. It reaches more than a billion people worldwide, which corresponds to more than five times the population of Brazil! As an adult, the worm settles in the intestine, from where it takes nutrients from our body, causing damage to our health. A person can have tens to hundreds of roundworms. In extreme cases, there are so many in the body that the bowel is clogged, which can lead to death.
