In recent decades, several researches have been done to understand the behavior of dogs and their relationship with humans.
Previous researches had registered that dogs can perceive differences in our faces, being able to discriminate a happy face, an angry face and a neutral expression. They seem to look at our faces differently, whether we're smiling or showing anger, for example. As a result, they react differently if we approach them directly and calmly or if we show signs of threat in the way we walk.
