By the age of 19, Darwin's passion for collections was entirely turned to beetles. His fascination with these creatures and his obsession with obtaining new specimens for his collection was so great that, once, while looking for beetles under the bark of a tree, he ended up finding two interesting ________________ species that were soon captured and held one in each. hand.
