Among the already mentioned group that may request this aid, Bolsa do Povo will prioritize some groups that were most affected by the pandemic. In this case, preference will be given to women, blacks, brown and indigenous people, low-income families, young people between 18 and 35 years old and people with disabilities (PwD).
According to data from Fiocruz in the book “The Social Impacts of Covid-19 in Brazil”, Brazilians did not receive the pandemic in the same way. These data indicate that black people, or people from quilombola communities, indigenous people and informal workers are some of the groups that have suffered most from the spread of the virus.
