Angelita Pereira Lima, dean of UFG, informed that this is a way to expand and better divide the number of vacancies destined for the courses.
“We think it is incompatible with a public institution to have vacancies vacant at the time of admission. We have a very important challenge ahead of us, which is to rescue young people to participate in ENEM and to show interest in entering public higher education”, informed the dean of the institution.
The UFG informed that the grades will be valid from 2009, considering the highest grade of the candidate. Admission to the university continues to be Sisu and, for 2023, 4,414 places will be offered divided into 96 courses in total.
In line with the dean, Israel Trindade, the university's pro-rector, also stated that the perspective is to democratize access to public higher education.
“It is a UFG concern to have 100% of vacancies filled. This new form of admission expands people's participation, democratizes access to higher education,” she said.
