NAME:
One day a lady decided to bake a gingerbread cookie. She molded her dough into the shape of a gingerbread doll. She put raisins for eyes, a piece of cinnamon for her mouth and chocolate chips to make the buds! Then she took it to the oven to bake!
Shortly afterwards, when her kitchen was fragrant with the sweet aroma of roasting, she opened the oven and the gingerbread man jumped out! The lady was surprised and tried to catch him, but he ran out the door and into the street!
– Run, run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me. I am the gingerbread man! – The gingerbread man screamed.
He then ran past a cow, a horse and a pig. They all tried to get him, but they couldn't.
Before long, the gingerbread man reached a stream. How could he cross the stream? A cunning fox offered to give him a ride across the stream.
– Jump on my back and I'll go through! – said the fox.
Slowly, the fox swam across the stream.
- You're too heavy for my back, jump on my nose! – whispered the smart fox.
As soon as the gingerbread man jumped on its nose, the fox threw the gingerbread man into the air and devoured it.
And that was the end of the gingerbread man!
