NAME:
A terrible war broke out between birds and beasts.
They attacked each other all day. All night long, they planned new ways to destroy each other.
The bat spoke to itself:
– I am not a bird or a beast, therefore, I must not fight on either side!
When the beasts seemed to be winning, the bat went to their side and declared:
-I'm a beast! Look at my body and you will know this clearly. I will fight on your side! – And he spent the whole day attacking the birds.
Then the birds asked for help from neighboring birds and they seemed to be winning.
The fickle bat flew to their side and declared:
– I'm a bird! It flew as well as you guys fly! I will fight by your side! – And he spent the entire night fighting the beasts!
When the war ended, neither birds nor beasts welcomed the bat.
