Learn how to make raincake: Traditional method or by Airfryer!

You've probably already heard about dumplings, a very popular recipe here in Brazil that is very popular, especially with children.

But did you also know that rain cookies are super easy to make? Yes! With a few basic ingredients for the dough you can make them.

Furthermore, the whole preparation does not take much time, the dough yields a lot and the result is delicious!

So, without further ado, let's get to the recipe!

Ingredients to make the raincake:

To make your cupcake, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 1 cup (tea) of milk;
  • A spoon (soup) of baking powder;
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) cinnamon to sprinkle;
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar for sprinkling;
  • 2 cups and ½ (two and a half) wheat flour;
  • 1 liter of oil for frying.

And for those who prefer a drier and more consistent dumpling, you can add a pinch of cornstarch to the dough.

Method of preparation:

  • Preparing the dough is very simple. Combine the sugar, eggs, milk, baking powder and wheat flour in a bowl.
  • Then mix all these ingredients, stirring well until the texture is consistent and the dough is homogeneous.
  • Then it will be time to fry the dumplings. Put the oil in the pan and let it get very hot, a very important detail so that the dough doesn't get raw inside.
  • And then, with the oil very hot, start putting a few spoonfuls of the dough in the oil, in small amounts, and wait for the dumpling to fry completely.
  • Make sure the dumpling is floating in the oil, otherwise the oil is still not hot enough.
  • Once the dough has browned, you can remove it and place it on a tray lined with paper towel or napkin.
  • Finally, just sprinkle the cookies with the sugar and cinnamon mixture and you're done!

Even if you want to make the recipe in a healthier way, you could be doing it for the airfryer!

  • The dough ingredients will be the same, as well as the preparation, the only difference is that you will have to preheat the airfryer to 200° for 5 minutes.
  • Immediately afterwards, spoon the dough into the machine basket, separating them a little, and program for 6 minutes at 200°.

The dumplings will be just as delicious as fried, only healthier. Try it at home and send this article to your friends who love to cook!
