If you are one of the customers who usually buy through the McDonald’s drive-thru, then you have already realized that waiting to enjoy the order is not something so simple and fast. If you are one of these customers, know that there are thousands more who can't stand to wait in line. It is in this sense that the fast food is trying to reverse the situation.
The Fort Worth Start-Telegram reported that a new McDonald's location recently opened in Texas in White Settlement, near Fort Worth, and will test ideas to get the system up and running quickly for customers.

For a McDonald's model, the new restaurant is "considerably smaller" compared to other standalone places across the United States. Unidos, as it does not have a shop dedicated to on-site meals and is specially designed for customers who prefer to eat at home or at the car.
The interior of the opened store is smaller and has kiosks so that customers can order food.
The place has an entrance destined to exclusive rooms for drivers of delivery apps, such as Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grybhub. Thus, traffic can be maintained without too much trouble between drivers and customers.
There are also parking spaces for app drivers and customers who choose to collect.
The store's interior has been simplified, as the main innovative difference is found in the drive-thru. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram points out that the franchise is equipped with lanes and includes an "order lane ahead" especially for orders placed by McDonalds.
Max Carmona, Senior Director of Global Design and Development for McDonald’s Restaurants, reported:
"At McDonald's, we've been setting the standard for drive-thrus for over 45 years." He concluded by saying, "As our customers' needs continue to change, we are committed to finding new ways to serve them faster and easier than ever before."
CNN points out that, for the fast-food chain, drive-thru demand happens every 45 seconds, as seen in 2019. With that, McDonald’s took the initiative to promote an even better technology focused on the sport.
