a surprise on the way

The Flower bee was called that because she loved to walk among the flowers. One day, she decided to visit her friends who lived on the other side of the forest. The way there was a bit long, but as a flower wanted to get there fast, she decided to take a shortcut.
While flying to her friends' house, Flor spotted a beautiful sunflower grove like she had never seen before. That's how she found a bird with huge wings that everyone said was the monster of the forest.

– Hello, little bee! Is it just me or are you lost and alone? asked the bird.
– Actually, I'm going to visit some friends at the end of the forest. But I'm not lost and I'm not alone. My eagle friend is right nearby - Flor said with conviction.
The bird believed the story that the bee invented and, as he was afraid of eagles, he left immediately. After that day, Flor learned to always take the longest and safest route, even if it took longer.
