The expansion of cities

During the pandemic, the number of internet purchases more than doubled. People saw advantages over the prices and security of buying from home. However, the main difficulty for online sales companies is delivery. Even with private couriers, it still takes around 3 to 5 days for the product to reach the consumer's hands.

Thus, aiming to take a step forward in the market, the company Mercado Livre announced the expansion of the same-day delivery modality to over 100 Brazilian cities. Within this framework, around 4,100 Brazilian municipalities will receive their products within one or two days.

For this, the company invested in the inauguration of new distribution centers in São Paulo and increased the daily capacity of packages available.

Faster deliveries in Brazil

This expansion is extremely important for the company, after all, customers have started to prioritize the speed of product delivery. In this sense, the investment of R$ 17 billion is focused on the logistics infrastructure for 1029 kilometers in operations.

According to the company, they are responsible for a huge fleet of vehicles to meet all demand. Altogether there are 51 cars, 3 thousand trucks, 1,100 vans, 3 planes and 26 gas-powered trailers.

In addition, Mercado Livre has 3,000 branches and more than 100 distribution centers. There are still many workers involved so that your order arrives safely and very quickly at your residence.
