PROJECT: Activities for Traveling Briefcase

The MALA VIAJANTE project, with the objective of awakening the child's taste for reading, regardless of the way this reading is being done.

Stories have been present in our culture for a long time and the habit of telling and listening to them has countless meanings. It is related to affective care, the construction of identity, the development of imagination, the ability to listen to the other and to express oneself. In addition, reading stories brings children closer to the literate universe and contributes to the democratization of one of our most valuable cultural assets: writing. Therefore, it is important to encourage children's familiarity with the stories and expand their repertoire. this is only possible through the regular contact of the little ones with the texts, from an early age, and through their participation in different situations of storytelling and reading. This project aims to make the student enjoy reading and transmit what he read to the other. Thus, the book must be shown and opened with a dimension of pleasure and joy, so that the student realizes that reading is a wonderful journey and not just another school activity. In this activity, we propose reading in the family environment with activities aimed at ensuring that the entire family can follow the process of learning to read and encourage the student to enjoy the reading.

Goals:
Given the fundamental importance of training the reader, the reading briefcase project aims to encourage the habit of reading and stimulate students' creativity, culminating in the systematization and pleasure of to read. The adult's encouragement must be fundamental in this process, being the mediator between the child and the book. Working with literature at school is to promote learning that serves for the constitution of subjects who simply do not belong to a society, but question and transform it.
