SISU is the Unified Selection System, and, through it, students from all over Brazil who have taken the National High School Exam (Enem) are able to enter a public institution of higher education. During the year, there are 2 editions of SISU, one for each semester and the one for semester 2023.1 already has vacancies available for consultation on the program's website.
In 2023.1, the system will have 226,399 thousand vacancies, with 6,402 different courses, with 128 public institutions as options, 63 of which are federal universities. On the system's website, you can view vacancies with their respective modalities, courses, shifts, institutions and location. When will registration start?

Who can apply for SISU?
To compete for any vacancy through SISU, the candidate must obligatorily have completed the AND EITHER of 2022, not having taken the exam in trainee conditions and having obtained a grade higher than 0 in the essay.
How does the system work?
The Unified Selection System works in a very simple way, each candidate can choose 2 different options of vacancies offered, being placed in order of priority.
After selecting the desired vacancies, the system makes a ranking according to the notes taken by the candidates in the Enem, which is updated daily during registration. Therefore, if the chosen option has only 10 vacancies available for all of Brazil and 30 candidates, those who did better in the National High School Examination will get the vacancy.
