The Cerrado presents a set of very varied vegetation. It has areas of countryside formations, with very low vegetation; areas of savannah formations, which mix undergrowth with shrubs and few trees; and also ______________ areas, with denser forest, with tall trees close together.
The climate in the Cerrado is tropical, with temperatures ranging between 20 and 22 degrees, and it can reach 26 degrees in the extreme north of the region. The rains are concentrated in one period of the year, thus defining two seasons: one of dry weather, which generally extends from May to September, and another known as the rainy season, in which more than two-thirds of the total rainfall occurs, concentrated between October and April.
