Even if it is unusual, there are representatives who offer their products for prices below those found in the market. It was the case of the Indian brand Ringing Bells that was selling a model called Freedom 251 for 251 rupees, which is equivalent to about R$ 16.00.
However, its technical sheet did not offer any surprising news. It had a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
This device that seemed too good to be true had a big problem afterwards. Ringing Bells was accused of fraud over its Freedom 251 handset. This happened because the device was produced by the Chinese brand Adcom and Ringing just hid the logo with a concealer.
So what, in fact, is the cheapest cell phone currently?
Many well-known brands stood out for offering cheaper options for devices. Among them we have Nokia, Multilaser and TCL. However, the company that occupies the position for selling the cheapest cell phone is Positivo. And the device is model P26.
The sale price is starting at R$ 75.00. The device does not offer very advanced specifications, but the essentials it has. The screen is 1.8 inches in size and has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Regarding the internet, there are connections only for 2G.
Its rear camera is VGA while RAM is 32MB. About the internal storage, it has 32 MB, but there is the possibility of expansion of up to 32 GB by micro SD card.
