The automobile market promises for the year 2023! The EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show is the annual fair that takes place over 6 days in Milan, Italy, where it attracts more than a thousand brands every year. It is the opportunity for major manufacturers to present their novelties, as the event is open to the public. That year, some releases from major brands were made available, such as the Kawasaki Z EV and the Electric Kawasaki Ninja which, according to Hiroshi Ito, the company's president, will go on sale next year.
Not many details about the release are available yet, however we can already know some very interesting information about the models released. According to Hiroshi Ito, the bikes will be sold to the a1 category in Europe for qualification, which places them in the category of small motorcycles.
In addition, an important point to be highlighted are the batteries, which despite being two and removable, may leave something to be desired, after all the capacity of each one will be only 3 kWh.
The fact that the batteries are removable is a great advantage, as it facilitates charging, however, it is worth noting that their capacity is indeed a worrying point, after all there are already models available in the market of electric motorcycles with batteries superior to 21 kWh.
On the other hand, with regard to power, with only 11kW, it will be equivalent to a 125cc combustion motorcycle.
It is still not known at what price the new models will be sold and therefore it is impossible to predict who their direct competitors would be in the market. market, however, according to the information released, it is already possible to state that its batteries are equivalent to those of a low cost. It is possible to consider this factor, because, with this capacity, the motorcycle would not be able to run for more than 75 km in the city, further decreasing your mileage when driving at high speeds bigger.
