INSS: number of re-registrations is still lower than expected

Many policyholders are dissatisfied when they arrive at an INSS agency and need to re-register their data. This is due to a security system imposed by the Institute itself, in order to protect the personal data of each taxpayer, thus avoiding possible fraud and undue payments.

It is worth remembering that the mandatory action was suspended in mid-March 2020, due to the spread of the coronavirus, requiring everyone to stay safe in their homes.

Today, in the country, more than 3.3 million taxpayers still need to update their records, since, after the most serious pandemic period, the systems are operating normally. Even so, the total of re-registered is equivalent to 32,994,656 policyholders, this number being related to the years 2020 and 2021.

How to do the reset?

• Download the “My INSS” application and then login;
• A message warning that the time has come to carry out the proof of life should appear, with a button named “Instale o Meu Gov.br”;
• Click on “Authorizations”, select the pendency and click on “Authorize”;
• To take the picture, the app will ask you to use your phone's camera. Then, click on “Allow”;
• The system will also request information from the document that is in the government register, such as the date of issue of the digital CNH. Inform;
• Then position the face in the center of the circle on the mobile screen. The system will ask the user to make some movements;
• A blue bar will indicate how many seconds are left for the completion of the movements and then the trial of life will be completed.
