After the project was approved by the Commission, the text will now be analyzed by the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission. From there, the project still goes to vote in the Federal Senate. Meanwhile, beneficiaries are waiting for information about the payment of the benefit.
The initial forecast is that, if approved, the 14th INSS salary will begin to be paid in March 2022. The same should happen in the same month, in 2023. The payment proposal takes into account the financial difficulties faced by Brazilians throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
The way the text is, the right to the 14th salary will be guaranteed to those who receive retirement, pension for death, sickness benefit, accident aid and prison aid. The project also mentions the financial compensation that proposes the redirection, until 2023, of the dividends collected from state-owned companies in the banking and fuel sectors (Petrobras) to finance the program.
According to the text that is under analysis in the Chamber of Deputies, the proposal is to pay up to two minimum wages to INSS beneficiaries. Thus, the amounts must be transferred in 2022 and 2023. The definition of the final value takes into account the minimum wage this year, which is R$ 1,100.
With this, the salary bonus would be in the amount of R$ 2,200 for retirees and pensioners of the institute. Despite this, as the payment is expected only for 2022, the 14th salary must be readjusted based on the new minimum wage for the year. Thus, according to the text of the bill, the minimum transfer in 2022 must be R$ 1,200.
