After registering a record profit of 3.7 billion reais in 2021, some adjustments were made to allow Correios employees to be able to receive the company's PLR again. In addition, around 90,000 Correios employees will be fully compensated for inflation in terms of salaries, functions and benefits.
According to the president, he himself negotiated with the team to get the best deal possible. However, he believes that the timing and balance that must exist in negotiations are very important, and that a satisfactory agreement is the result of the collective effort of all workers.
In an interview, Peixoto also spoke about the delivery of cards from the social program Auxílio Brasil, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) and the card issuer, Box.
This is a very important job carried out by the Post Office. This is because it is the only national company capable of delivering packages and postcards in all Brazilian cities (from east to west, from north to south).
In addition to the benefits of being able to re-grant the PLR to employees, the huge profit result provided Correios with its return on payments of its debts to the Union.
The country will receive a dividend (the portion distributed to shareholders) of 251 million reais. As for employees, the company will allocate 63 million reais. The last dividend and profit sharing so far occurred only in 2014.
