From August 2nd to November 3rd, Teatro Santander's 033 Rooftop presents an immersive version of musical “ZORRO – Uma Lenda is born”, with the right to tasting tapas, wines and flamenco dancing class!
The show, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the creation of the character of the American writer Johnston McCulley, gets a new adaptation, directed by Ulysses Cruz, for the renowned novel “Zorro”, by the Chilean writer Isabel Allende – an absolute success in the West End of London.
With Bruno Fagundes in the title role, Marcos Mion as the villain Ramon, Letícia Spiller as the gypsy Inez and Nicole Rosemberg playing Luisa – The hero's romantic partner, the musical tells the story of Don Diego de La Vega, a young aristocrat living in California in the mid-19th century, who later from spending time in Europe studying, he returns home and assumes the secret identity of "Zorro" - a masked hero who fights for the freedom of his people.
The new setup will be set around a “Tablao Flamenco” in a Tavern Gitana, where tapas (prepared by chef Mario Azevedo, from 033 Rooftop) and wines can be tasted. The audience that arrives before the performance will be able to follow all the preparation of the cast and participate in a flamenco dance class with music to the alive, then having the chance to watch the show from another point of view, as if it were part of it, savoring every detail, choreography and song. “ZORRO – A legend is born” is a musical full of humor, special effects, fights, lots of dancing and flamenco music, which includes in its soundtrack original songs and some of the biggest hits of the group Gipsy Kings, such as “Djobi, Djoba”, “Bamboleo” and “Baila Me".
