Nigerian legend

There was a time when Sun, Moon and Water were friends. They always lived together, like true companions. It was a time when the stars lived on Earth, with the other elements and species in the world.

The Sun was married to the Moon and always went out for a walk on earth, to visit Water. They talked and had a lot of fun together.

One day, Water noticed that the Sun was not the same. I was sad, silent… So, she decided to ask what was going on. The Sun, all feeling, replied that he was sad because he noticed that the Water would never visit him. Moon, his wife, didn't like that either.

Agua tried to resolve the misunderstanding, explaining to her friends why she didn't visit them. In fact, she was afraid of causing some inconvenience as she was so spacious. Your presence could be a catastrophe!

The Sun understood but did not accept Water's reasons. Arriving at his house, he went to talk to Lua and the two decided to make a general renovation so that Água could visit them. It was necessary to enlarge everything and make the house a very big place, with many rooms for the Water to spread out. And they did it that way, all very spacious.

The house got so big that a person couldn't walk through it for a month without ceasing. Despite this, Water felt that the place would not be enough for her. But she was determined not to insult the couple of friends any more. She knocked on the door of the house and asked if they were sure she should go inside. Hearing that it was, the Water was coming in, spreading out and it didn't take long for the downstairs to be completely taken over by it and by all kinds of aquatic living beings. It was fish, seaweed, turtle…

The Water, seeing that it was taking up too much space, asked the Sun and Moon if it could continue entering. They replied, somewhat embarrassed, that it would be an honor, as they saw that the second floor also began to flood. And the more the water rose, the more the Sun and Moon rushed to the other floors of the building. Behind them, many whales, dolphins, sharks and rays.

Quickly, the Sun and Moon realized that not even on the roof would be safe. To keep themselves dry and safe, they only had heaven left. And there they went and stayed. But don't think that the friendship between Sun, Moon and Water is over. They always meet. Before sunset and on full moon nights.
