Sleepyhead was a little sheep that was part of a large flock. The mountains surrounded the pretty little village where Sleepyhead and her companions had their stable.
Every day the sheep went out to graze in the mountains and returned to the village just before sunset. Sleepyhead had gotten that nickname from her companions because whenever she finished her pasture ration at noon, she would look for a shade and lay there snoring. In addition, she was snoring very strongly and was bothering her companions, who still needed to wake her when it was time to return to the stable. One day, they decided to teach him a lesson.
"Today we won't call Sleepyhead." said the leader of the herd. When you wake up and don't see anyone, you're going to be scared. This way you will learn to leave sleep for the night and solve your problems alone.
In fact, so it was. After eating, Sleepyca looked for the protective shade of a tree and, after a few moments, was snoring at full steam.
At the usual time, her companions returned to the village without waking her. Sleepyhead continued to sleep, and when she woke it was almost dark. She felt very scared, because the wolves were already beginning to howl in the mountains. She raced back to the village.
Once in the stable, safe, she was severely reprimanded by her companions.
“See if, from now on, none of us have to be a 'wake-up call' for you. We hope she learned her lesson. said one of them.
Sleepyhead never earned that name again, as she realized she hadn't done well with her mates.
