The ordinance was published this Monday, 18, in the Official Gazette of the Union. To apply, you must have taken the National Secondary Education Examination (Enem) of 2017, have reached at least 450 points and have had a grade higher than zero in the essay. It is important to remember that grades from other editions of Enem are not valid for claiming a scholarship.
In addition, only Brazilian students who do not have a college degree and who have completed high school in the public network or on a full scholarship in the private network can participate. Students who attended high school in the public network and the other part in the private network as scholarship holders or those with physical disabilities or public school teachers may also request a handbag.
The candidate who wants a full scholarship must have a per capita family income of up to one and a half minimum wage. The 50% partial scholarships are intended for students who have a per capita family income of up to three minimum wages. Those who get a partial scholarship, and cannot afford the other half of the monthly fee, can use the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
The results with the list of pre-selected candidates will be available on the ProUni website, from July 2nd for the first call, and July 16th for the second.
Program – ProUni is a program of the Ministry of Education that grants 50% full and partial scholarships in undergraduate and sequential specific training courses in private higher education institutions. Institutions participating in the program are exempt from certain taxes.
In the first edition of ProUni that year, 242,987 scholarships were offered, of which 113,863 were full and 129,124 were partial. Since it was created in 2004, ProUni has served 2.5 million students, 70% of which with full scholarships.
Teachers in the public primary education network who do not have a teaching degree, who wish to continue teaching and who took the National High School Examination (Enem) in 2005, have the opportunity to start a college in the second semester of this year. year. To have this chance, they have until the 16th to enroll in the University for All Program (ProUni) and compete for 47,059 scholarships offered in 834 private educational institutions throughout the country.
Unlike other candidates for grants from ProUni, the teacher does not need to prove income. It is enough that he teaches in the public network, belongs to the permanent staff, is teaching in basic education and has obtained a minimum score of 45 points in Enem/2005. Candidates can apply for full or partial scholarships (50% of the monthly fee), in pedagogy courses, higher education and in the degrees of mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography, Portuguese (with training options in English French Spanish).
Teachers who meet the requirements, but did not take the Enem in 2005, can enroll, until this Friday, 2, for the Enem test that will be applied on August 27th. For those who have completed high school, registration must be made at post offices and agencies. Registration will be free for those who studied in public schools. For the others, the fee is R$ 35.00. The 2006 exam grade will be used for admission to ProUni in the first and second semesters of 2007.
According to the director of the Department of Modernization and Higher Education Programs at MEC, Celso Ribeiro, in the first selection process at ProUni this year, 1,182 teachers joined. Among the states with the highest admission of professors to the university through ProUni, São Paulo (373), Rio Grande do Sul (201) and Minas Gerais (119). In Celso Ribeiro's assessment, the participation of teachers in the program is still small, but as ProUni becomes known, demand will increase. The important thing, he emphasizes, is for the teacher to be attentive, take the ENEM test and, if he doesn't get a good grade, repeat it the following year.
History – Created in late 2004, ProUni concluded its first selection process in early 2005, when 1,142 higher education institutions joined the program that offered 112,275 scholarships: 71,905 full and 40,370 partial. In the first half of 2006, the participation of institutions rose to 1,233 with the offer of 91,609 scholarships: 63,536 full and 28,073 partial. In the second semester, 834 institutions participate, offering 47,059 scholarships. There are 35,162 full scholarships and 11,897 partial scholarships, in the amount of 50% of the monthly fee.
