Carefully read the text. Then answer the interpretive questions:
A family of moles lived underground, in their dark lair. There, no sunlight penetrated, but these animals were safe from their enemies. However, the eldest son of the family, who was restless and adventurous, was not happy with his luck. I wanted to see the countryside and the woods in broad daylight.
"I don't advise you to do it!" warned his father. — Your eyes are not prepared by Nature to resist sunlight. If you go outside, you will go blind!
These were very convincing words, which caused the young man to hesitate. Even so, he didn't give up and decided to manufacture some glasses with thick, frosted lenses, with which he could challenge the dazzling brightness of the sun. Once equipped with such a powerful protective instrument, he went out to the surface of the earth, determined to explore the world that stretched out into the open.
However, he saw everything very dark and sad with his frosted glasses. He missed his underworld. Frustrated, he went down to his lair.
— Bah! It's not worth climbing. he commented. “It's all so dismal!
His father smiled when he heard him, knowing the cause of what had happened, but he said nothing. He wanted his son to learn the lesson and conform to the way of life that Nature offered him, without envying other animals.
