All these changes were announced by the Official Gazette (DOU). Due to this change, the period for nominating the public university that validated the diploma will also change. Before, it was scheduled for the 17th of March, but now it will start on the 27th of the same month.
The test, which was applied on December 3 and 4 by Inep, was prepared as follows:
The race has a ten-station structure. In each given area, candidates performed a specific task. Among them were clinical history investigation, interpretation of exams, demonstration of procedures doctors, formulating diagnostic hypotheses, advising patients or their families, among many others contexts.
For each of the ten stations of the exam, something similar to a template is done, which was named PEP. This pattern expresses the set of actions that must be performed. Regarding the analysis of the candidates' performance, it happens through the correction of the procedures carried out and, subsequently, the individual score is calculated.
This exam, in turn, is done in two stages (theoretical and practical). They address, in an interdisciplinary manner, the five main areas of medicine, namely: internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and family and community medicine.
This test is intended to assess skills, competencies and knowledge for professional practice to meet the needs of the Unified Health System (SUS).
