PCD is an acronym that means Disabled Person, referring to individuals with permanent limitations, whether physical, intellectual, auditory or visual.
Before, people with these conditions were called “disabled people”, but the term has fallen into disuse. This from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2006.

Worldwide, according to the United Nations (UN) this index reaches 10%, the majority being people with intellectual disability (5%).
In second place is physical disability (2%), followed by auditory (1.3%), multiple (1%) and visual (0,7%).
