New Auxílio Brasil amount will be paid in the second half of this year

Published in the Official Gazette of the 20th of July, the ordinance foresees an increase of 200 reais for the Brazil Aid, raising the minimum value of the benefit from 400 to 600 reais. In addition, the transfer of the new amount will be made between August and December of this year. Increase will not be assigned to retroactive payments

According to the publication, the additional 200 reais will not be considered in the case of payment of retroactive installments. The increase in the value of the Brazil Aid is within the scope of the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) ratified on 13 of July and foresees expenses of R$ 41.2 billion in measures to help the poorest and some categories professionals.

How does receipt work after readjustment?

The increased amount will be automatically paid to those already receiving benefits. This applies to poor families (up to R$105.00 per capita income) or extremely poor (between R$105.01 and R$200 per capita income). capita) and who have pregnant women, nursing mothers, children in training, adolescents and young people under the age of 21 among their members.

To be eligible, interested parties must be registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) in their municipality. However, registration is only a prerequisite for receiving the benefit and does not guarantee immediate access to the Aid. The information must be approved by the Ministry of Citizenship, which every month adds new families to the program.

Government foresees change in payment calendar dates

For the time being, Auxílio Brasil, which replaces Bolsa Família, follows the previously planned schedule. Therefore, according to the end of the NIS, the payment will be deposited in the last 10 working days of the month. However, with the new amount approved, the intention of the current government is that payments begin on August 9th, not on the 18th.
