The fourteenth INSS salary can still be paid in March, as many hope. However, some factors still indicate that this will not happen. This measure has an emergency purpose of reducing the economic impacts of the pandemic, but is still pending.

At the end of 2020, the fourteenth INSS salary was accepted by the Finance and Taxation Commission of the Chamber of Deputies. This measure is a provisional action so that beneficiaries receive double the salary bonus for the years 2020 and 2021.
This action is intended to recover the economic damage of the pandemic. This is because most of the people who will receive the 14th are low-income people who suffer from this reality.
The value of this benefit corresponds to a maximum of two minimum wages and will only be entitled to retired people, who are pensioners or who receive some benefit from the INSS. Among the aids that apply for this is the pension for death, illness aid, imprisonment or accident aid.
Beneficiaries look forward to receiving the benefit and want to know when it will occur, considering that they have been waiting for it since 2020. However, perhaps this anguish is close to ending, as the payment is still scheduled for the month of March. This year's payment is equivalent to the year 2020 while the fourteenth of 2021 is scheduled for next year.
In addition, despite the Chamber of Deputies stating that the payment will be made in March, everything indicates that this will not happen. This is because Bill 4367/20, which establishes this benefit, still has to go through some legal procedures to be able to effectively enter into force. Such a project still needs to go through some voting procedures in Congress and then in the Senate and if approved, it can still be vetoed by the Executive branch, that is, by the presidency.
