Superhero movies are ubiquitous right now, and the biggest name in this area is Marvel. not just any Marvel, remember, Marvel Studios. Starting with 2008's "Iron Man," President Kevin Feige experimented with the idea of telling a long, interconnected story across multiple films with different main characters. They cross paths from time to time - just like in the comics. That experiment succeeded with 2012's "Avengers," and it's been hit after hit ever since.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow, even after the conclusive nature of 2019's "Avengers: Endgame". It can be hard to keep track of what's going on. Below, we've put together a list of all the MCU movies confirmed and in development, when they'll be released, who's in them, and what we know about each project so far.
This list is specific to Marvel Cinematic Universe movies only, so you won't find Sony's "Morbius" or the eventual "Venom 3" on this list.

The film follows the Eternals, near-immortal alien beings created thousands of years ago to protect Earth from an antagonistic force known as the Deviants.

While technically a Sony release, the "Spider-Man" movies are part of an exclusive shared deal between Marvel and Sony. Parker seeks out Doctor Strange to cast a spell that will make the world forget he is Spider-Man, after Mysterio revealed his secret identity in "Spider-Man: Far From Home." But when the spell goes awry, Parker is hurled into the multiverse, where he comes face to face with characters from other previous "Spider-Man" films.

The sequel to "Doctor Strange" sees legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi take over as director of a story that explodes the multiverse. Elizabeth Olsen reprises her role as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, after realizing her full potential in the series finale "WandaVision." She now crosses paths with Strange, who is trying to keep order in the multiverse.

Director Ryan Coogler planned for "Black Panther 2" to feature the return of Chadwick Boseman in the role. lead, but after the actor's surprising death in the summer of 2020, Coogler began rewriting the road map. Boseman will not be replaced in the sequel, for which plot details are under wraps.

The third "Ant-Man" movie is still some way off, but Peyton Reed - who helmed the first two features - is once again back in the director's chair. While story details are under wraps, the title suggests the film will delve deeper into the quantum realm.

Though originally slated to go into production in 2019, the film hit a snag when writer/director James Gunn was briefly fired. The filmmaker described the film as a final chapter for this iteration of the Guardians, specifically in regards to its story arc.
