Online course on Music History

Music has a great influence on our lives, regardless of style. It doesn't matter if it's rock, blues or country, what really interferes are the sensations they provide. Some listen to relax, others to cheer up or even to remember loved ones or places they've been.

That she is important we have no doubt, but after all, do you know how they originated? To help you get that answer, the São Paulo State University (Unesp) offers a online course and free on Music History.

It will be presented through video lessons on the Univesp TV website, which can be watched anytime and anywhere. During its realization, the student can make notes and questions while attending classes, then receive the appropriate answers in their e-mail.

The classes are part of the Bachelor of Music course and are taught by Dorotéa Kerr, professor at the Instituto de Artes from Unesp, PhD in Music/Organ from the University of Indiana (USA) and Master in Music/Organ from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro January.

The specialist makes an overview of Europe in the 19th century, the so-called Romantic Period. It locates its students in economic expansion, caused by the accelerated growth of industry and commerce, and the growth of the bourgeoisie. The Enlightenment Thoughts of Liberty and Equality.
