A woman acquired a pension equivalent to R$ 500 per month for the dogs, which were shared with her ex-husband during their relationship. With the end of the union, the woman filed the appeal and got the approval of the Court of Justice of São Paulo.
It is worth noting that the man will also have to pay R$ 20,000 in expenses, referring to the four dogs. The decision did not please him, causing him to file a new appeal.

Justice suspends women's CNH because of debt; understand the case
Minister Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva accepted the request for a pension for the animals. However, on the 3rd, the process stagnated, as another minister, Marco Aurélio Belize, asked to analyze the case further. Even so, Cueva gave his individual opinion, leaving the following opinion: “By acquiring animals during the stable union, the appellant contracted the duty, jointly with the appellee, to provide them with the necessary for dignified subsistence until death or alienation".
When justifying himself, the man stated that he was no longer the guardian of the animals, much less interested in keeping them. That way, there is no longer any responsibility on the four dogs. In addition, he reported not having the financial resources to cover all the expenses that may arise.
Finally, in Brazil there are still no laws that can interfere with the protection of animals after the end of a union, and it is necessary to decide this issue amicably or, if not, resorting to justice, analyzing the best decision to benefit the animal, since care also ends up generating expenses.
