To avoid losses, vacancies in the 2019 selection process will be offered at the end of the year. Admissions will be in February and in August.
According to Unesp, the cost of carrying out the tests makes the process unfeasible. The institution is evaluating alternatives for student admission. Greater use of the National High School Examination (Enem) score is considered.
In addition, students who stand out in student Olympics and scientific initiation scholarship holders in high school may be contemplated.
Unesp has the payments of the 13th salary of the servers in arrears. According to the university, an in-depth search is being carried out to balance the accounts.
The institution was able to anticipate, on an emergency basis, R$ 130 million from the state's financial transfer. The goal is to honor server payments.
The lack of a payroll budget has become a major problem for Unesp. It is estimated that the institution's deficit is R$ 175 million.
