Uber Eats is a service created by Uber for fast delivery of orders that customers make to restaurants and establishments that sell food.
As with traditional Uber, couriers must register on the service's platform to pick up new rides, which, in this case, are deliveries.
Delivery people can work the way they prefer: car, motorcycle or bicycle.
Working with Uber Eats is quite simple. Understand how it works by following the steps below:
1 – Download the app on your cell phone and go online
The Uber Eats application is how drivers receive delivery calls from registered establishments. The driver needs to go online and wait. When an order arrives close to where he is, he receives a notification from the application.
2 – Accept the order
After receiving the request, the driver has the option to accept it or not. If you accept delivery, the application provides the necessary information to get to the restaurant and then to the final customer.
3 – Search for the order
Upon arriving at the restaurant, the driver must speak to those responsible and inform the order number available in the application. Once the delivery is received, the driver must check that everything is ok. Upon confirming that the order is correct, it can start delivery.
4 – Deliver the order
Upon arriving at the destination, the driver receives detailed information on where he should actually leave the order, in a specific apartment, or at the building's concierge. After making the delivery, finish the race in the application and you can go on to the next delivery.
If the person already works as an Uber driver, it is not necessary to make any additional registration form to carry out deliveries through Uber Eats. The driver only needs to enable the option in the Uber partner app to receive orders from restaurants affiliated with the platform.
However, those who are not yet registered with Uber must download the application, and follow the steps indicated in it for registration. The company will contact you to inform you of the necessary documents and the next steps to start working.
Whoever is going to make deliveries by car or motorcycle must have a definitive National Driver's License (CNH) with the observation Exercise Remunerated Activity (EAR).
The EAR is a resource created by the government to identify people who work driving, either with a formal contract or self-employed.
To add the EAR to the CNH, the driver must go to the Detran.
After submitting the EAR request, it is necessary to undergo a psychotechnical examination at the clinic selected by the Detran and pay the fees. The amount of these fees may vary from state to state.
When managing to include the observation in the CNH, the driver must send this document together with the vehicle to Uber Eats, which must be licensed and up to date.
To make bicycle deliveries, the process is much easier.
Interested parties only need to be at least 18 years old and must send their RG and CPF at the time of registration.
Drivers pay nothing to sign up for the platform, and there is no cost or monthly fee to continue working on Uber Eats.
The Uber Eats service is now available in eleven cities in Brazil, they are:

The amount you will receive per delivery is calculated as follows:
In addition, Uber promotes promotions and conditions that make it possible for the driver to earn up to R$ 25 extra reais for successful deliveries. The transfer of amounts is done weekly.
To arrive at approximate values of how much an Uber Eats delivery person earns, see data from five deliveries made by a biker in the city of São Paulo, available on the Tips for Driver website.

To keep the driver protected, Uber Eats covers trips with insurance that has no additional cost for the worker.
Uber Eats insurance covers:
However, the registration does not create any employment relationship between Uber and the delivery person, nor between the delivery person and the restaurant.
The work is classified as an autonomous service in which the Uber Eats delivery driver performs a service for the establishment registered in the application, but without any connection with it.
