The Secretariat for Economic Development (SDE) and the Paula Souza Center, together with the Government of São Paulo, offer the Novotec Program. The project is aimed at high school youth from the state network.
Therefore, the program offers young people quick and free professional qualification courses. Thus, 23 thousand vacancies will be opened. Opportunities will be divided between two modalities, Novotec Expresso, which is face-to-face, and Novotec Virtual, via distance education (EaD).

In the Novotec Express modality, there are more than 15 courses offered. Among them, we have Website Creation and Digital Platforms, Youtuber, Data Analysis and Basic Cybersecurity. As well as Small Business Management, Digital Games, Systems Architecture and many others.
In addition, the workload for this module is 200 hours. Classes will be taught in schools belonging to the Department of Education, Technical Schools and Colleges of Technology, throughout the state.
On the other hand, the courses offered by Novotec Virtual will be Systems Development Assistant and Planning Assistant. Therefore, the courses will have a workload of 400 hours. The module will use the distance learning structure of the Virtual University of the State of São Paulo.
Registration for Novotec Expresso courses will be open between June 3rd and 16th, 2019. As for Novotec Virtual, they will be available between June 24th and July 7th.
Thus, both registrations will be carried out by the Novotec website. However, the site will only be available from the 3rd of June.
Classes for both courses will begin in August. Therefore, in the face-to-face modality, classes begin on August 1st. On the other hand, in the EaD modality, classes will start in the second week of the same month.
All students from the state public network can enroll, however some criteria will be taken into account in the selection of students.
Thus, some of them will be gender equality in classes, and students enrolled in schools that are less than two kilometers from the course location. In addition, young people in conditions of social vulnerability will also be considered.
