According to her, the cancellation of classes due to the pandemic harms students, since many do not have access to the internet and are not receiving the necessary programmatic content to carry out the proof. Therefore, the calendar will probably adapt to the reality of the current school year.

Position of the Ministry of Education

In response, the Minister of Education, Abraham Weintraub, used Twitter to file an appeal against the decision of the Federal Court, which is under the responsibility of the Attorney General's Office.

Weintraub criticized governors for suspending classes and accused them of “stopping Brazil”. In addition, contrary to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), he also advocated the return of school activities. "Governors must plan the return to school, get their buttocks out of their chair and TWALK behind the damage", said the Minister.

After the request of the Federal Justice to change the calendar of the test, the MEC added in the announcement the possibility of extending the deadline in the fee waiver request during the registration period, between the 11th and 22nd of May. The change aims to help low-income students who were unable to apply for the exemption within the deadline due to difficulties accessing the internet.

Another change is in relation to the Enem Digital, which was revised to take place on October 11th and 18th, and was postponed to November 22nd and 29th. However, the dates for the print version still remain on November 1st and 8th.
