See what are the reasons for using deodorants or antiperspirants

One of the main reasons for using these products is sweat. However, according to experts, sweat has no smell. What happens is that the bacteria that are on the skin “break down” the sweat, and then cause the odor.

They even explain that the best time to use antiperspirant is at night, at bedtime. That's because we tend to sweat less and the product can form a kind of plug inside the sweat gland, and thus perform better.

If you are not a person who sweats a lot, it is not worth using deodorant, as it can block sweat production and cause health damage. However, it's understandable that some people use deodorant to smell nicer.

Curiosity about sweat

Did you know that your diet can directly influence your smell? So it is! The odor of sweat can be influenced by the type of food you consume.

For example, the sweat of individuals who eat large amounts of cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and cauliflower, can give off a different, sulphurous smell.

And when people don't use deodorant?

Making use of products such as deodorants or antiperspirants has its advantages and disadvantages, and they depend on how individuals feel about using them or not.

Bathing is the most effective way to combat odor, according to experts. It is important to focus on washing your face, underarms and genital areas. This prevents the growth of microorganisms, yeast and bacteria.
